The citation record changes its first source without turning that sequence into a trend: YouTube heads the first eight published citation tables, then YachtCharterFleet heads the final five.
Quick answer
What changes across Phuket / Koh Samui yacht-charter search?
Across the thirteen published AI Overview citation selections, YouTube occupies the first row in the first eight and YachtCharterFleet in the final five, beginning August 17–23, 2026. That handover is a bounded sequence of published first rows, not a normalized growth trend. Organic search tells another story: YachtCharterFleet heads all 12 published broad organic selections, while Blue Voyage Thailand has median best organic position 1 in each of the three published readings of “luxury yacht charter Phuket”. The source, surface and question determine which part of discovery comes forward.
At a glance — key facts
- Citation first rows change in sequence. YouTube heads the first eight published citation tables; YachtCharterFleet heads the final five.
- Broad organic recurrence remains different. YachtCharterFleet is first in all 12 published organic selections.
- A precise Phuket query brings a charter business forward. Blue Voyage Thailand has median best organic position 1 in all three published “luxury yacht charter Phuket” readings.
- Openings add another pattern. YachtCharterFleet heads 12/13 published opening selections; YouTube heads the earliest.
The broad record repeatedly starts with a charter-information source
YachtCharterFleet’s first position persists from the earliest organic publication to the last in this evidence horizon. Its own description identifies a yacht-charter information and research resource. This makes information-source visibility a substantial part of the observed market, rather than a peripheral addition to a list of charter businesses.
“First” here means first in the publication’s aggregated ordering, based on frequency of the top organic position. It does not mean first for every query or every run. The displayed presence figures describe a separate measure and should not be used to reorder the list.
The AI Overview opening record is nearly as consistent, but not identical. YachtCharterFleet is first in twelve of its thirteen publications. The June 22–28 opening selection instead starts with youtube.com. Keeping that exception distinguishes strong recurrence from an uninterrupted lead across every surface.

A Phuket charter question brings businesses to the front
The three publications for “luxury yacht charter Phuket” each give Blue Voyage Thailand median best organic position 1, with presence in all seven runs in each window. Phuket Yacht Charters and yacht-rental-phuket.com also appear in all seven runs of each publication. These readings span late June, late July and August; the result is not confined to one recent week.
The four published query families show why the broad list cannot answer every local question.
| Published question | What recurs | Qualification that changes the reading |
|---|---|---|
| “luxury yacht charter Phuket” | Blue Voyage Thailand has median best organic position 1 in 3/3 publications | This is one exact query, not first place across the market |
| “best luxury yacht charter Phuket” | Blue Voyage Thailand has median position 2 in 3/3 publications | Position 1 belongs to Phuket Yacht Charters in the first two, then yacht-rental-phuket.com |
| “how to book a private yacht in phuket safely” | Getmyboat has median position 1 in 4/4 publications | In the first, yacht-rental-phuket.com shares that median position and appears in more runs |
| “Andaman Sea superyacht charter” | YachtCharterFleet and CharterWorld appear in 3/3 publications | CharterWorld has median position 1 in July; YachtCharterFleet has it in August and September |
Each row summarizes Google organic Query Spotlight evidence, not an AI recommendation. The query series and exact windows are linked in the evidence basis below. The wording and windows differ between families, so these are observed contrasts, not a controlled experiment showing that a word caused a source to appear.
The safe-booking result is particularly revealing. In the first publication, Getmyboat appears in 2/7 runs and yacht-rental-phuket.com in 5/7; both have median best organic position 1 when present. The median alone would conceal that difference in frequency. In the last publication, Getmyboat appears in 6/7 scheduled runs, with one run lacking organic evidence. None of these positions establishes the safety of a particular charter.
“A recurring first name in the broad charter list leaves room for a different business at the front of a precise Phuket search.”
The Observatory
For a charter company assessing its representation, the useful question is which search role is being compared: broad destination discovery, a direct charter query, a booking question or an Andaman superyacht question. A single market-wide position cannot stand in for all four.

The citation first row changes after eight published windows
The thirteen AI Overview citation publications contain two sequences: YouTube is first in the earliest eight, through August 10–16; YachtCharterFleet is first in the final five, from August 17–23 to September 14–20. The transition publication still lists YouTube second. Both display a rounded citation share of 13%, so the published order does not supply an exact margin between them.
This is a change in the name at the front of the published tables, not proof of a continuous rise or fall in comparable citation share. Earlier and later readings use different aggregation descriptions, and no citation publication is available for July 20–26. A YouTube domain row also leaves the underlying channel and creator unresolved. Citation prominence cannot be credited to a charter operator without that identity evidence.
The combined destination remains unevenly described
The query evidence concerns Phuket and the Andaman Sea. The September 21, 2026 Claude Sonnet 4.6 native account similarly describes more developed coverage of Phuket and a thinner account of Koh Samui. The model’s framing and the query coverage are different observations; neither creates separate measured rankings for the two islands.
Nor does web access itself guarantee a better local account. The July 21, 2026 Gemini 2.5 Pro web reading records difficulty connecting retrieved material to the yacht-charter market. That particular account supports scrutiny of the source fit, not a verdict on a provider’s overall reliability.
Questions readers ask
Do local Phuket charter businesses appear directly?
Yes. Blue Voyage Thailand, Phuket Yacht Charters and yacht-rental-phuket.com appear in each published “luxury yacht charter Phuket” selection. Their query-level positions differ from the broad market ordering headed by YachtCharterFleet.
Is YouTube always the first citation source?
No. It heads eight of the thirteen published citation selections, while YachtCharterFleet heads the last five. These counts concern publication-level ordering, not every individual AI Overview.
Can these results rank Koh Samui charter companies separately?
No. The destination is one Thailand-based observation scope. The available query publications do not supply an independent Koh Samui comparison.
Evidence basis and limits
The September 29, 2026 cutoff contains 51 measured publications: 12 organic, 13 AI Overview opening, 13 citation and 13 Query Spotlight tables. Their Google desktop scope is Thailand, with English-language queries. The organic and opening series end September 27; the citation and query series end September 20. The accompanying archive contains 28 model readings and 13 comparisons; the two selected accounts above retain their recorded model and mode.
These counts are of published selections. They do not count individual runs as independent weekly victories. Opening and citation series lack July 20–26; the September 14–20 organic table contains four displayed rows. The earliest citation publication is labelled June 16–21 while its Reading Basis specifies June 15–21. Its single publication is counted once, without inventing a second window. Changing query availability, aggregation descriptions and missing windows prevent a normalized summer growth claim. Method comparability explains the additional requirements.

Because the recurring names represent different relationships to a voyage, the Phuket / Koh Samui context separates the two coasts, charter businesses and discovery sources. The yacht-charter overview shows how those roles extend to vessel identities in other destinations. Before turning any published position into a judgment, the ranking Decision Guide explains what its measure can establish.
