What Brand Intelligence is

AI answer engines and search surfaces increasingly decide which brands, companies, institutions and platforms are named, cited and treated as authoritative. The Observatory records that behaviour across governed market evidence: dated ranking tables, citation tables, query spotlights and recorded model readings. Brand Intelligence is the entity-first way through that record — from a brand to the markets it is observed in, its current positions, the evidence behind them and how AI systems speak about it.

The market-first journey remains the other door: every Market Room carries its own observed actors, and every actor record links back to the rooms and dated readings it is drawn from. An entity is listed here when a governed table names it or a governed reading names it as an organisation; other names stay inside that reading.

Alphabetical — not a ranking

Every observed actor, organised by market in editorial order and then alphabetically — position is never a rank. Filter by vertical, destination or evidence role. Logos are the actors' own marks, shown to identify them; no affiliation or endorsement is implied. A monogram means no logo is held.

Method and references

An entity appears here when a published governed observation names it — as a ranked row, a cited source, a cast mention, a recorded model statement or a checked claim. Appearing in evidence establishes no office, service area, market share or leadership. Identities are resolved only through reviewed aliases; a shared domain or a similar spelling never merges two entities. The public reading standards explain how these observations are scoped, so an entity record can be read with its source and limitations intact.

Continue the reading

Brand Intelligence brings the published evidence for each entity into one record. The Market Rooms place those records in market context; Rankings holds the complete tables behind their listed positions.

Recorded descriptions have a different source. DNC Lens presents individual model readings, while Model Watch compares specified model or surface readings under the conditions stated on each card.
